Bright Start Cebu's blog

Hello Palompon

“Don’t confuse your path with your destination. Just because it’s stormy now doesn’t mean you aren’t headed for sunshine.”

Today, as we remember Typhoon Yolanda, we offer prayers for those still dealing with loss, grief, and devastation. Four years have passed since that fateful day but we continue to gather strength and inspiration from the survivors and from people with the genuine desire to help. Indeed, there is always a silver lining. For Bright Start, it is the unwavering friendships that were formed with the donors, partners, and beneficiaries.

Happy 8th!

"Bridge the Gap. Together, We CAN Make a Difference."

Happy 8th Year Anniversary, Bright Start!

Thank you to all our loyal supporters and volunteers. A big thank you as well to the parents and teachers for giving us the opportunity. We will do our best to continue promoting good health and better education especially for children with disabilites. And with God's grace, we hope to reach more underserved areas.

Love in Action

"Kindness is love in action" ~ RAKtivist

Supporting nutrition month through a feeding project and giving pencils to students are just simple ways of sharing God's love to the children. We would like to thank our supporters, Fr. Rickey and the St. Joseph Catholic Church (USA) and the Epistola family (Australia) for continuously supporting Bright Start! We would also like to thank our very active volunteer, Teacher Irene Munda, for helping us with these three events.

Christmas in July

"Kindness is a vehicle for peace." ~ Raktivist

We are glad to have more Bright Readers for the month July! Our preschoolers in Cebu City will be busy with their new school supplies. Also, as part of July Nutrition Month, we happily assisted Langub Elementary School (Grade 4) in this important school activity. It is always a privilege to be part of an important event at Lahug Elementary School Special Education Center. This is the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation week. We would like to thank the following supporters:
